Ample-knitters was an email discussion list focusing on issues of concern to knitters in all sizes of large. It was imagined, created, and managed by Shelda Eggers, who still manages this website. The list ran eight years, from 1998 to 2006, and is presently changing to a website presence only.

Several spin-off email lists are presently available. Here are links to those lists.

  • KnitPlus - This Yahoo group has been in existence for some time now, and was originally formed to handle off-topic posts from Ample-Knitters. It is managed by Kirsten Lenius.

  • AKRetreat - This Yahoo group also has been around for awhile, and was started to handle discussion of get-togethers for Ample-Knitters in various parts of the country. Rosemary Woodhouse manages this list.

  • KnitFits - A new list using Mailman list software, founded by Heather Madrone

  • Ample-Knitters - A new Yahoo group, started by Shelley Hattan and Pam Scriber.

A note from Shelda: I've made a very conscious decision not to endorse a new list. The fact that the ample-knitters yahoo list has the same name as the original Ample-Knitters list should not be taken as an endorsement of that list.
