Carol Hurt's Sweaters - Sampler #1 | |
The Randomly Slanted Sweater, designed by Valentina Devine, is in Knitter's Magazine #58, Spring 2000, page 50. I loved making it. Made it to a finished size 52 and used La Lana Wools which were beautifully dyed. The 2-needle technique is so much fun and works up very fast. The yarn from LaLana MADE it! It's expensive but worth every $$$ and it doesn't take nearly as much as the pattern calls for. Call La Lana for the new yardage calculations, and even then I had one to return. |

The Diamond Patch SweaterMy favorite - Jill Vosburg's Diamond Patch sweater from Just One More Row in Prism Bon-Bon (I used 1200 yards for sweater to fit my 45 bust). I used 52-stitch diamonds on size 8 needles for the first three rows, then went down a needle size to 7s for the last two rows. The Diamond Patch was a knit-along project on Ample-Knitters, check out our Diamond Patch Hints. |

AnjuliNo variations other than using one size larger needles to give me a slightly larger size. This cardigan was designed by Jo Sharp, and can be found in her book Rudgyard Story. |
