Dorothy Anderson’s “Radiant Shawl”

Dorothy participated in the Ample-Knitters Radiant Shawl Knit-a-long and knit this great shawl from a Lucy Neatby pattern (pattern available from Tradewind Knitwear Designs).

Dorothy used Berroco Softwist in a beautiful burgundy for the main color (can you see the sheen?) and GGH Fee Color in Tapestry (burgundy, olive w/ gold sparkle) for the contrasting hairy bits.

Dorothy notes, “The Fee Color accent yarn is quite dramatic, so that I feel like an exotic bird, or no, wait, maybe the Fee knits up more like an animal pelt! And I am Brunhilde of the Valkyrie defending Valhalla!

It's nice to have the pleasure of knitting, a finished project, and a fantasy life rolled into one!”

Here's a photo showing a fuller length view of the shawl, and one of Dorothy in her "Brunhilde of the Valkeyrie" garb! (these photos will open in pop-up windows).
