Debbi Young's “Cuff-to-Cuff”

Soon after we started talking about the Cuff-to-Cuff project on the list, I got a note from lister Debbi Young. She had already finished her sweater! Here are her notes for the project:

When the Cuff-to-Cuff discussion started on the list last month, I dug around in my yarn closet for the “kit” I'd put aside more than a couple years ago. When I first bought the pattern it was beyond my comprehension. Now, it was the perfect project to cast on for the New Year.

Much to my surprise, I finished it in SIX days! I was sick with a bad cold much of that time, and wasn't doing any entertaining, so I was able to knit a lot, obviously.

Debbi's gray, black and cream Cuff-to-Cuff Jacket

At any rate ... here's a photo for all those who want to see one.

The yarns I used were:

  • Cream = heavy worsted-weight wool
  • Black = Bergere de France Opera (a furry yarn)
  • Grey = Unger Misti Alpaca
  • Tweed = Plymouth Alpaca Boucle

Note: I will *not* choose an alpaca or alpaca blend for the cuffs/bands/collar when doing another. It's just not sturdy enough for those areas of wear-and-tear.

Thanks for sharing your photo, Debbi!
