Ample-Knitters Knit-along
“More Than a Sweatshirt”

A group of Ample-Knitters will be knitting this sweater as a group Knit-ALong (KAL) “officially” beginning 15 October 2001. This is one of Knitter's series of “Bountiful Beauties” sweaters and is sized from a small (40”) to XXXL (64-1/2”).
Unfortunately, this issue of Knitter's Magazine is no longer readily available. However, the pattern for this particular sweater is still available as a stand-alone pattern from K1C2 (Knit 1, Crochet 2). Here are two sources that carry the individual pattern, now called the “ Topsy Sweatshirt.” There are two versions of the pattern available (#9960 in the original Douceur et Soie carried with Parfait Solids or Swirls, and #1030 in Velvety Chenille or Tartelette).

Knitter's #54 does come up on ebay from time to time, or might be available from your local public library. This is a nice issue for us ample folks. The theme statements on the front cover read, “Multi-sizing Sweaters for Everyone: Size it up, Size it Down, Size it All Around,” and “Large-sized wear with Pizzazz.”
