Pat Brunner's Cable TeePat wrote the pattern for the Ample-Knitters Cable Tee knit-along, based on an original design by list member Maureen Taylor. List members have been very excited by this great pattern, and here I have the pleasure to feature Pat in her completed sweater. When Pat sent the pattern as her gift to the list, she had not yet knit the sweater herself. She wrote, "I decided that since I wrote the pattern I should probably knit one of these things!" It didn't take her long to finish, and she kindly shared her lovely photo with us. |

Pat made a few changes to the pattern for her sweater. Here are her notes: "I used the blue Spumante terry textured yarn that I used for Swatches 1 and 2. I started with the back because I haven't decided on short or long sleeves and wanted to get the most boring part out of the way first. I'm using the Reverse Stockinette edging and adding 4 inches to the length. I have to admit that I'm enjoying this! The stockinette is mindless so I can read at the same time." Pat eventually decided to knit her Cabled T with long sleeves, saying that the climate in Seattle, where she lives, lends itself to long sleeves even in a cotton T. She notes, "when it does get warm here I just push my sleeves up!" Pat also writes patterns for Skacel. Thanks so much for the beautiful pattern, Pat! | |
